President Ersin Tatar met with mukhtars in the Maraş region while he was touring the area on the fourth anniversary of the opening of some parts of the closed city of Maraş to visitors.
President Ersin Tatar came together with mukhtars in the Maraş region and referred to the statement made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that “The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the apple of the eye of Türkiye” and emphasized the importance of the national value of the Cyprus problem for everyone.
He said that the welfare, peace and tranquillity of the Turkish Cypriot people are essential in this struggle.
Emphasizing the importance of the Blue Homeland, Tatar stated that the TRNC’s territorial extent is 3,800 square kilometres and that it contributes to the Blue Homeland 4 times more than its earnings.
He underlined the value of the strategic position of Cyprus in economic, commercial and security issues and reiterated the importance of Cyprus on the international platform. BRT
