The Director of the Meteorology Department, Sinan Güneş, stated that the heaviest rainfall on Sunday occurred in Selvilitepe and Kozanköy.
Speaking to the TAK News Agency, Güneş said that according to measurements, heavy rain and thunderstorms were particularly effective in the Beşparmak and Girne regions.
He also added that while the intensity of the rain would decrease, heavy showers are still expected on Monday.
