
The holy month of Ramadan will officially begin tomorrow on Saturday, March 1st.
The first teravih prayer will take place this evening, followed by the early morning sahur, and the first iftar (fast breaking dinner) will be held on Saturday.
During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims will observe practices such as fasting, performing teravih prayers, reciting the Qur’an, and reading the Mukabele.
The Kadir Night, which is mentioned in the Qur’an as being “more beneficial than a thousand months,” will be celebrated on the evening of Wednesday, March 26th.
The Ramadan fasting period will last for 29 days, and the three-day Ramazan Bayram (Eid al-Fitr) will begin on Sunday, March 30th, and conclude on Tuesday, April 1st.
The Bayram prayer will be held at 07:07 AM.
The Directorate of Religious Affairs in the TRNC has set the fitre (a charitable donation) amount for this year at ₺300, with donations required to be given before the Bayram prayer.
The imsak (dawn) time for the first day of fasting on March 1st is 04:48 AM, and iftar (dinner to break the fast) will be at 05:51 PM.
