Secondary schools received report cards today, summer holiday’s begin

The 2023-2024 academic year will end with primary and secondary school students receiving their report cards today.

Secondary school students received their report cards this morning and primary school students will receive their report cards on Friday marking the end of the school year.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of National Education, 25,079 high school students in 48 schools that operate under the General Secondary Education Department, 3,894 students in 12 schools operating under the Vocational Technical Education Department, approximately 400 students in Apprenticeship and Adult Education Centres, and 26, 577 students in 125 schools under the Primary Education Department will begin their summer holidays after they receive their report cards.

Make-up exams will be held from June 12-21.

The 2024-2025 academic year will begin on Monday, September 16 for schools affiliated with the Department of Primary Education and on Tuesday, September 17 for schools affiliated with the Department of General Secondary Education and the Directorate of Vocational Technical Education.

Placement entrance exams for the Bülent Ecevit Anatolian High School and 20 Temmuz Fen (Science) Lycee will be held next Saturday, June 22.

The entrance exam for Lefkoşa Anadolu Fine Arts High School will be held on June 20 and 21.

Applications for 8th grade students for the Vocational High School Programs will be received between June 20 – 25 and the 9th  grade students of the vocational high schools will be announced on Friday, June 26.
