
Due to the official parade to be held as part of the 102nd anniversary celebrations of Victory Day on August 30, some roads in Nicosia will be closed to traffic on Friday, August 30.
According to the Police Press Bulletin, starting from 07:00, the route between the Honda Traffic Lights Junction, the Altınbaş Petrol Traffic Lights Junction, and the Gönyeli Roundabout will be closed to traffic until the parade concludes.
During the specified date and time, traffic flow will be as follows:
– For drivers coming from the direction of Gazimağusa and heading to Near East University, transportation will be provided via the Nicosia Northern Ring Road and Near East Boulevard.
– For drivers coming from the direction of Gazimağusa and heading to Nicosia city center, transportation will be provided by turning left at the Hamitköy Roundabout and using Mimar Mehmet Vahip Street and Şht. İsmail Beyoğlu Street.
– For drivers coming from the direction of Gazimağusa and heading towards Güzelyurt, transportation will be provided via the Nicosia Northern Ring Road and Gönyeli Roundabout, or through the Citröen Traffic Lights Junction on Mehmet Akif Street in Nicosia and the Metehan-Alayköy Ring Road.
– For drivers coming from the direction of Güzelyurt and heading towards Nicosia, transportation will be provided via the Alayköy-Metehan Ring Road or through the Gönyeli Roundabout and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street (State Hospital).
– For drivers coming from the direction of Girne and heading towards Nicosia, transportation will be provided by using the Girne-Nicosia Main Road and through the Gönyeli Roundabout and Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu Street (State Hospital).
Drivers are also requested not to park their vehicles on the specified roads and to follow traffic signs and markers during the parade rehearsal to avoid obstructing traffic flow.
