Mayor of Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel, Fırat Ataser, issued a public statement regarding upcoming water shortages in the region.
According to information provided by the Turkish State Hydraulic Works (DSİ), water supply disruptions will occur between 9–12 September.
In order to minimize inconvenience to residents, the municipality announced that it will ensure rotational water distribution through its own resources. Accordingly, some areas will receive water every two days, while others every three days. In neighborhoods experiencing water pressure problems, water will be delivered by tankers.
Mayor Fırat Ataser also addressed the public with the following appeal:
“During this period, please use water sparingly. Let’s avoid leaving it running unnecessarily. With solidarity and tolerance, we will overcome this period together. I thank you in advance for your support.”
