The Statistics Institute announced the 2023 Gross Domestic Product (GDP) figures on Tuesday.
According to the data, GDP at current prices amounted to 132,350,516,376.8 TL.
The per capita Gross National Income was recorded at 14,599 USD.
When examining the real growth rates of sectors in GDP at constant prices, the highest growth in 2023 was seen in the “import taxes” sector with 31.5%, followed by the “trade-tourism” sector with 16.3%, and the “transportation and communication” sector with 8.8%.
Regarding the sectoral shares of GDP at current prices, trade-tourism accounted for 25.8%, public services 12.9%, transportation-communication 10.4%, professional services 10.2%, financial institutions 9.1%, import taxes 9%, construction 6%, homeownership 5.7%, industry 5.6% and agriculture 5.3%.
