Tatar addresses 11th Summit of the Turkic Council of Heads of State

The 11th Summit of the Turkic Council of Heads of State has begun in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

President Ersin Tatar, who is attending the summit, delivered a speech during the event.

Hosted by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, the summit is focused on the theme “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.”

In his address, President Ersin Tatar emphasized the strength derived from unity among brotherly nations.

He highlighted Cyprus’s unique strategic and geographical significance in the Eastern Mediterranean, reaffirming that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is an inseparable part of the Turkic world.

Tatar reiterated the TRNC’s commitment to strengthening ties with the Turkic world across all institutions and expressed hope for support from the Turkic world in lifting unjust sanctions imposed on the TRNC.

Earlier on Tuesday President Tatar, along with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attended an opening ceremony for new academic and social units at Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Manas University.

During his speech, Tatar highlighted the value of cooperation among Turkic states, stating that the development of diplomatic and political relationships among these nations is a source of satisfaction.

President Tatar’s Kyrgyzstan visit also included the inauguration of 110 projects at Manas University and the opening of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Bishkek Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship State Hospital, built by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
