President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited Gazimağusa State Hospital following a traffic accident involving a school minibus in Yenierenköy, where they received updates on the condition of the injured students.

President Tatar, accompanied by Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu and Minister of Health Hakan Dinçyürek, expressed concern over the recent incidents—referring not only to the school minibus accident in Yenierenköy but also to a bus fire in the Boğaz region earlier this week.
He emphasized that these incidents should serve as a warning, particularly for companies operating in public transportation, to be more diligent in vehicle maintenance and safety.
Stressing the importance of responsibility in the transportation of passengers, especially children, Tatar said, “While the absence of fatalities is a relief, the fact that people were injured deeply saddens us and weighs on our conscience. Authorities must be more meticulous with inspections, and companies should invest in ongoing training and maintenance.”
Tatar extended his best wishes for a swift recovery to all injured students and citizens, hoping that such incidents will not recur.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also visited the hospital alongside Ministers Dinçyürek and Çavuşoğlu, where he was briefed on the health status of the students.
He noted that all injured students were under observation and none were in serious condition.
“Our children were spared once again by the grace of God; they are all doing well,” he said, wishing a speedy recovery to everyone involved.
Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek echoed these sentiments, extending his best wishes to the students and the bus driver. “We hope all our children regain their health as soon as possible,” he stated.
