Tatar announces publication of his book “This Pain Will Never Fade”

President Ersin Tatar once again stressed that the “Champion Angels” we lost in the February 6 earthquake will never be forgotten.

Tatar announced the publication of a book, written by him, focusing on the February 6 earthquake and its aftermath.

He also noted that the entire Turkish Cypriot community continued to support the struggle alongside the Champion Angels Association.

President Ersin Tatar received the Champion Angels Association on Tuesday.

Speaking during the meeting, the President stressed that the “Champion Angels” who lost their lives in the February 6 earthquake will always remain in the hearts of the people.

“ISIAS is our common cause, and your pain is the pain of us all. We will never forget the Champion Angels” Tatar said.

President Tatar also announced the publication of his book, This Pain Will Never Fade,” which he wrote about the February 6 earthquake, known as the “Disaster of the Century,” and its aftermath.

He added that the book, also prepared with contributions from Aydın Akkurt, Gökhan Güler, and Mustafa Haşim Altan, was dedicated to the Champion Angels, as well as the teachers, coaches, citizens, and families still enduring immense grief.

The President expressed the profound sorrow of the Turkish Cypriot community over losing the Champion Angels, who were in Adıyaman to represent the TRNC in a championship, to a devastating earthquake.

“The struggle of our people and how the Turkish Cypriot community embraced the loss of our champions is a message to the world” Tatar said.

Highlighting the solidarity shown by the Turkish Cypriot people following this tragedy, Tatar said, The entire Turkish Cypriot community stands with you in this struggle,” and underscored the importance of the meaningful work carried out by the Champion Angels Association.

The book covers the pain experienced in the TRNC following the February 6, 2023, earthquake in Türkiye, the activities of the Presidential Earthquake Crisis Desk, the efforts of the government, and the developments that followed.brt
