Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar has praised the long-standing work of the North Cyprus Cancer Charity Trust, known as “Heartbeat,” during a meeting with the organization’s representatives at the Presidential Complex in Nicosia.
Tatar expressed his admiration for the charity’s tireless efforts since its founding in 1988, highlighting its role in raising cancer awareness and providing essential medical equipment to hospitals through fundraising events.

“Your dedication and integrity have been exemplary for more than three decades. On behalf of the Turkish Cypriot people, I thank all past and present members of this extraordinary organization,” Tatar said.
Trust President İsmail Atahasan thanked Tatar for his support and presented him with a Certificate of Appreciation. He also announced that the Trust’s next fundraising event will take place on September 14.
Serving the community for 37 years, Heartbeat continues to combine awareness campaigns with direct support for cancer patients across the island.
