
The 9th Tatlısu (Akanthou) Herb Culture Festival will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, coinciding with the third day of Ramadan Bayram.
Tatlısu Mayor Hayri Orçan shared details about the festival during a press conference, emphasizing this year’s theme: “Back to Nature.”
The event aims to highlight the importance of natural nutrition and introduce wild edible herbs found in the region’s plains.
Festival Highlights
140 festival stands showcasing natural products, traditional Turkish Cypriot cuisine, handicrafts, and cultural artifacts.
Live performances by Seyyal Taner, Murat Ongün Enes, Cüneyt Şentürk, Arda Gündüz, Kadir Carlos, Grup Gam, and violin virtuoso Nina Koçubey.
Entertainment for all ages, featuring live statues, stilt walkers, free caricature drawings, an illusion show, and a violin recital.
Final Organization Director Yıltan Tozaki assured that the festival will be an exciting and engaging experience and invited everyone to attend.
