
The world’s largest Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival, TEKNOFEST, will host technology enthusiasts in 2025 in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
This year’s event, which will feature new competitions set to break ground in technology and innovation, is scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 4 at the Old Terminal Building of Ercan Airport.
In the TRNC, competitions will be held in 7 main categories and 14 subcategories.
With the Social Innovation Competition, young people aiming to enhance societal benefit will produce innovative solutions with a sense of social responsibility.
The Flying Car Simulation Competition will challenge ideas on autonomous flight systems and strategic control mechanisms that will shape the transportation systems of the future.
Through the TEKNOFEST TRNC Research Project Competition, young participants will contribute to sustainable development with creative projects in agriculture, environment, and energy fields.
The Robolig Blue Homeland Competition will showcase designs that shine a light on the future through robotics, coding, and engineering skills.
TEKNOFEST in the TRNC will also host the Tourism Technologies Competition, the Drone Championship – TRNC Stage, and the HackMasters-Blue Homeland Competition.
In addition to technology competitions, TEKNOFEST TRNC will captivate visitors with a variety of fascinating events.
The festival will feature air shows, concerts, seminars, exhibitions, workshops, sky observations, simulation experience zones, a virtual reality tunnel, a planetarium, fair events, special flight activities for students, “From Roots to the Future: TEKNOFEST Digital Universe,” and the TRNC Digital Experience Zone, offering a multitude of technology-filled and exciting experiences.
Participants in the TEKNOFEST Technology Competitions in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will receive over five million Turkish Liras in prizes and financial support.
According to the announcement, TEKNOFEST continues to provide thousands of young people working in national technology production and development with opportunities to bring their projects to life, aiming to increase their interest in these fields.
The President of the Presidency of Defence Industries of Türkiye, Haluk Görgün, stated, “This spark rising from Cyprus will carry the light of our national technology initiative to the world. We’re meeting at TEKNOFEST Cyprus from May 1 to 4.”
“With its deep connections and strategic importance in the development of our defence industry, Cyprus becomes the meeting point for our domestic and national technologies through TEKNOFEST” Görgün stressed.
Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Yasin Ekrem Serim, shared on social media, “We are proud to bring the world’s largest Space, Aviation, and Technology Festival, TEKNOFEST, to the Turkish Cypriots from May 1 to 4.”
