The 12th Hisarköy Orchid Festival, organized in collaboration with Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality, Hisarköy Muhtarlığı, and Hisarköy Culture and Sports Association, will take place on March 1-2, 2025, at the Hisarköy village center. The main theme of the festival is to showcase the diversity of Cyprus’s endemic orchids in our region, raise public awareness, and ensure the transfer of this knowledge to future generations, particularly children.
On Saturday, March 1st, the festival will begin with a walk through the land of orchids at 10:00 AM. The opening will take place at 1:00 PM, followed by folklore performances, handicrafts, and food stalls throughout the day. The first day will conclude with a concert by Group Baria at 1:30 PM and Serdal Tuksal at 3:30 PM.
On Sunday, March 2nd, the stalls will open at 9:00 AM, and the festival will start with another walk through the land of orchids at 10:00 AM. Group Otantik will perform at 1:00 PM, and Group Frekans will perform at 3:30 PM, marking the end of the festival.
Throughout the day, an exhibition of handicrafts will be held at the Village Women’s Course building.
