Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality (LAÇ) Mayor Fırat Ataser provided information about the water issue and solution efforts on social media. Ataser announced that due to the depletion of water from the Ilgaz well and the insufficiency of the water coming from the DSİ in Turkiye, they have begun drilling new wells. He stated, “We will use the expenses of the festival we will hold in Alsancak in September to drill two water wells. Water is more important to us than anything else.”
Ataser’s statement is as follows:
“Due to the depletion of water in our Ilgaz well and the inadequate supply of water from DSİ in Turkey, we are drilling new wells, and our work continues. Additionally, we will conduct studies at two more points determined by the engineers of the Mining and Geological Department on the map. These efforts require an additional budget. We will use the budget for this from the expenses of the festival we will hold in Alsancak in September. For us, water is more important than anything else.”
