Friday will be mostly clear with clouds developing later starting in the west of the island and spreading elsewhere.
Strong winds and dust are expected later in the day.
The dust cloud blowing in from North Africa will subside by Saturday night.
Temperatures will rise to 34C inland, 33C on the southeast and east coast, 30C on the north coast, 31C on the remaining coasts, and 26C in the higher mountains.
Winds will be south- to north-westerly, up to moderate, 4 Beaufort, and gradually strengthening to strong, up to 5 Beaufort.
On the southwest coast, winds will transiently be up to very strong, 6 Beaufort. The sea will be rough.
Overnight will be mostly clear with some clouds covering the western half of the island.
Temperatures will drop to 22C in the interior, 24C on the southeast, east and west coasts, 23C on the remaining coasts, and 15C in the higher mountains.
Winds will continue south- to north-westerly, light to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, later abating.
The weekend is expected to remain mainly clear with localised clouds at times.
Temperatures are set to rise slightly on Saturday, falling again by Monday to slightly below the seasonal norms.
