Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, who attended the ITB Berlin Fair, made statements to BRT.
Ataoğlu stressed that the presence of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, in Berlin had a significant impact on the meetings held.
He stated that discussions focused on additional flights once Ercan Airport completes its security certification process.
Ataoğlu also added that efforts were being made to lower ticket prices, and once the issue is finalized, the developments would be shared with the public.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) tourism is being promoted at the ITB Berlin Fair.
Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu, who is in Berlin with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, joined a program on BRT via phone.
Ataoğlu highlighted that the TRNC tourism had been expanding its promotional destinations recently, underlining the importance of the London Tourism Fair and the ITB Berlin Fair in strengthening TRNC’s tourism management and market share.
He also noted that TRNC tourism would be discussed during the upcoming visit to Ankara, reiterating that they were working on reducing ticket prices, and once the details are finalized, updates will be shared with the public.
