
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu attended the opening of the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, one of the industry’s most prestigious events, where he delivered a speech highlighting the TRNC’s alternative tourism models.
Speaking to reporters in Berin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu emphasized that they are positioning Northern Cyprus as a prime destination by focusing on cultural and gastronomic tourism.
He also announced plans to introduce incentives for charter flights from various countries in 2025 to boost tourism.
Highlighting ongoing collaborations with Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ataoğlu noted that promotional, advertising, and marketing efforts in Germany are continuing, with significant support contributing to the visibility of TRNC tourism.
Ataoğlu further stated that Prime Minister Ünal Üstel is scheduled to visit the fair tomorrow, where he will meet with industry representatives to strengthen ties and explore new opportunities for the tourism sector.
