United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres’ Personal Envoy for Cyprus, Maria Holguin Cuellar, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Istanbul after completing her contacts on the island.
Following her meetings in Türkiye, Holguin will meet with the Greek Foreign Minister in Athens.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan received the Personal Envoy of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres for Cyprus, Maria Angela Holguin Cuellar.
The Ministry shared a post about the meeting on the social media platform X.
The post stated that Fidan received Holguin in Istanbul.
After her visit to Türkiye, Holguin will continue to Athens to meet with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.
The personal envoy Holguin had previously announced that following her contacts, which included London and Brussels, she would make another visit to the island before the expanded summit scheduled for July. BRT
