The National Unity Party (UBP) Lefkoşa District Chair Mustafa Akyön, along with head of the party’s Lefkoşa Youth Branch Necati Çoban and members, recently visited the Obstacle Free Living Centre in Demirhan.
They organized a special lunch event for the young people at the centre, creating an opportunity for connection and support.
During the visit, UBP representatives received information about the center’s activities from Minister of Labour and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, who emphasized their commitment to inclusive services.
Minister Gardiyanoğlu reaffirmed that all civil society organizations are welcome to contribute to the centre’s efforts.
He also noted that 2024 has been designated as the Year of Social Services, and announced that rehabilitation centres for individuals over 18 in Güneşköy, Gazimağusa, and Girne have been fully renovated.
UBP Lefkoşa District Chair Akyön expressed his hope that more people would visit the center and extend a hand to the youth receiving training there, thanking the UBP Youth Branch for organizing the meal.
The young people enjoyed a joyful afternoon, celebrating inclusivity and community.
