Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Ziya Öztürkler, along with the members of the Republic’s Assembly Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning, have registered for the “Running to Victory with Our Heroes” Ülker Lefkoşa Marathon.
Speaker Öztürkler said that they fully supported the upcoming event.
The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Ziya Öztürkler, and members of the Assembly’s Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning will participate in the Lefkoşa Marathon.
Stressing that the Assembly fully supported the event and stood behind it wholeheartedly, Öztürkler extended his gratitude to the Lefkoşa Turkish Municipality and everyone who contributed to the organization, especially for the donation that will be made to the Paediatric Oncology Department.
The Chair of the Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning Committee, Resmiye Canaltay, underlined their support for the heroes alongside the Speaker.
Canaltay noted that this was an important event to draw attention to the increasing number of cases in the country every day.
Deputy Chair of the Republic’s Assembly Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning, Erkut Şahali, stated that the Lefkoşa Marathon was a highly significant example of social solidarity.
Noting that last year they ran for the “Champion Angels” and this year they will run for the Paediatric Oncology Department, Şahali expressed their support for the event, stressing its role in inspiring new examples of solidarity.
