Prime Minister Ünal Üstel issued a message on the 6th anniversary of the passing of the late Prime Minister İrsen Küçük.
In his commemorative message, Üstel stated, “We remember with respect, longing, and mercy İrsen Küçük, one of the esteemed statesmen of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), former Prime Minister, and former leader of the National Unity Party (UBP), on the sixth anniversary of his passing.”
Noting that throughout his political career, İrsen Küçük dedicated himself to serving our people, signing off on important projects that contributed to the economic and social development of our country, Üstel said, “He worked with great dedication to protect the rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriot people, to ensure the progress of our state, and to advance the vision of the National Unity Party.”
The Premier also stressed that the steps Küçük took for the well-being of the people and the contributions he made to the state and the UBP will never be forgotten.
“Beyond his roles as a statesman, party leader, and prime minister, İrsen Küçük left an unforgettable mark on us with his inclusive approach and elder statesmanship in Turkish Cypriot political history” he added.
“On the anniversary of his passing, I commemorate the late İrsen Küçük with respect, gratitude, and mercy, and I extend my condolences to his family and loved ones” Üstel concluded. brt
