Taşkent announced his resignation via his social media account. Veleddin Taşkent’s statement reads: “I am offering my resignation. Unfortunately, this season didn’t work out.
We are very sad. Last season, we had a great season. We narrowly missed promotion to the Super League, but we completed the previous season happily, peacefully, and most importantly, debt-free. This season, once again, our team is good, our coaches are good, and we are creating a competitive, determined, and well-organized team, but it didn’t work out. Due to increased expenses, the projected balance for the season, and anticipated costs, we have been unable to find sponsors who can provide the necessary support and financial contributions. Considering that we might face difficulties throughout the season, to avoid injustice to our players, coaching staff, and supporters, we have decided as a board to open the way for the club and find a management that can secure financial income and, most importantly, find sponsors. We will be holding an Ordinary General Assembly on September 5th, Thursday. We thank all the visible and invisible heroes who have supported us until now and wish success to the new president and board of directors.”
