An 80-year-old woman from Russia passed away after swimming in a coastal area in Limassol.
According to reports, around 09:30 this morning, the 80-year-old lost consciousness under circumstances that are under investigation while swimming. Bystanders noticed her condition, rushed to the scene, and pulled the woman out of the sea. Subsequently, an ambulance was called to the area, which transported the woman to Limassol General Hospital. Despite efforts by medical personnel, she passed away two hours later.
The exact cause of death of the unfortunate woman will be determined after a proper autopsy.
