The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for isolated severe thunderstorms anticipated to occur on Wednesday, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. According to the department’s announcement, the storm activity is expected to initially impact the western half of the island before gradually spreading to other regions.
Meteorologists have cautioned that these thunderstorms may be accompanied by intermittent hail, with variable and strengthening winds forecast throughout the duration of the event. Furthermore, rainfall rates are expected to be intense, with estimates ranging between 35 and 55 millimetres per hour.
