The President of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, who was in our country for various meetings, was received by President Ersin Tatar and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
President Ersin Tatar received the President of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye, (YÖK) Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, at the Presidential Complex.
During the meeting, YÖK President Erol Özvar expressed his honour at being received at the complex, which has not yet officially opened.
Stating that as part of his visit, they were working on strengthening collaborations in the field of higher education, Özvar noted that they aimed to increase the international visibility of TRNC universities.
Also speaking, President Tatar stressed that the higher education sector was the locomotive of the country.
He stated that universities, which have graduated over one hundred thousand students, hosting students from 144 different countries, was a significant achievement.
Highlighting the substantial contributions made by the universities that have institutionalized over the years, Tatar stressed the importance of YÖK’s supervision and guidance in this process.
Meanwhile, the YÖK President Özvar visited Prime Minister Ünal Üstel as part of his visit to the TRNC.
