Erhürman and Christodoulides pay joint visit to CMP Anthropology Laboratory

Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides conducted a joint visit on Thursday to the Anthropology Laboratory of the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP), located in the UN buffer zone.
The two leaders were welcomed by laboratory staff, UN Secretary-General’s Personal Envoy María Ángela Holguín, and the UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative in Cyprus, Khassim Diagne.
During the visit, Erhürman and Christodoulides received a detailed briefing from Holguín and Diagne on the ongoing work carried out at the laboratory, where efforts continue to identify remains of missing persons from both communities.
Following the laboratory tour, the leaders were set to proceed to the UN Good Offices headquarters for a joint meeting with Holguín. Later in the evening, they are expected to attend a reception hosted at the residence of the Special Representative.
