As LAÇ Municipality, instead of the New Year’s decorations we have been implementing for two years, we provided New Year’s clothes for 118 children in need in our region. Continuing our work with a social municipality approach, our municipality aimed to ease the burden on low-income families on this special day by gifting New Year’s party clothes to the children. Our goal was to transform the sparkle in the streets into the happiness in our children’s eyes.
LAÇ Mayor Fırat Ataser made the following statement regarding the issue:
“Our region has 20 villages. Instead of decorating all our villages, we chose to spend the money this year on purchasing New Year’s clothes for 118 children attending schools in our region, and witness the happiness in their eyes.”
