According to a joint announcement made on social media by the Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality and Taşkent Nature Park, a giant Green Sea Turtle — weighing over 100 kilograms — that was found washed ashore has recovered following emergency medical treatment.
The turtle will be released back into its natural habitat at Güzel Yalı Beach on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Municipal officials and Taşkent Nature Park have invited the public to witness this special moment.
