
Ercan Airport is expected to host a total of 638 aircraft over a six-day period between December 30, 2025 and January 4, 2026, according to a statement by T&T Airport Management.
The statement noted that airlines including Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines, AJet and SunExpress have increased the number of flights due to the New Year holiday. The busiest days at Ercan Airport are forecast to be Friday, January 2, and Sunday, January 4.
Flight traffic at the airport is expected to reach 106 aircraft on December 30, 103 on December 31, 84 on January 1, 117 on January 2, 107 on January 3 and 121 on January 4.
T&T Airport Management General Manager M. Serhat Özçelik said that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure passengers have a comfortable, smooth and safe travel experience during the busy holiday period. He stated that in anticipation of increased traffic, coordination was carried out ahead of the New Year with airlines, the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, the Civil Aviation Department, Istanbul Handling, as well as police, fire services, immigration and the Customs Department.
