
According to the weekly weather forecast report by the Meteorology Department covering the period of May 20–26, the region will be under the influence of a high-pressure system with mild weather during the first half of the week, and a low-pressure system bringing hot and relatively humid air masses in the second half.
Starting tomorrow, the weather will be mostly clear to partly cloudy throughout the week. Patchy fog is expected in some areas on Wednesday morning.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 30–33°C in inland areas during the early part of the week, rising to 34–37°C in the following days. On the coasts, temperatures will hover between 26–29°C.
Winds will generally blow from the south and west at moderate strength, with locally strong winds expected on Friday.
