TR. President Erdoğan to visit TEKNOFEST and inaugurate state buildings

This Saturday marks a momentous occasion for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), as Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to visit the country to attend TEKNOFEST and officially inaugurate newly constructed state buildings.

Turkish President Erdoğan’s visit underscores Türkiye’s deepening ties with the TRNC and its continued commitment to supporting the island’s development.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s itinerary will include a tour of TEKNOFEST KKTC — the region’s first edition of the world-renowned aviation, space, and technology festival — as well as the grand openings of the newly completed Parliament building and Presidential complex.

The two state-of-the-art facilities, funded and built by Türkiye, represent major milestones in the TRNC’s institutional development.

Turkish officials have described the structures as “symbols of sovereignty and national pride,” while TRNC leadership has hailed them as “landmarks of progress and unity.”

President Erdoğan’s presence is expected to draw high-level delegations, media attention, and widespread public participation, further highlighting the strategic and symbolic importance of this visit.

He is also expected to announce new investments and projects for the Turkish Cypriots.
