A friendly match was played in Çanakkale between Kepezspor and the TRNC representative, Lapta Türk Birliği Spor.

The match, held at the Kepez Atatürk Stadium, was attended by Çanakkale Deputy Governor Abdül Kadir Duran, TRNC Istanbul Consul General Fatma Demirel, Kepez Mayor Birol Arslan, Kepezspor Club President Azem Ülkü, Lapta Türk Birliği Sports Club President Muhittin Kara, and football enthusiasts.

Speaking to journalists before the match, Fatma Demirel said, “The weather today is as beautiful as the weather in Cyprus. It will be a magnificent game. Both teams are ours, let friendship win.”

The teams entered the field with a banner reading, “Welcome to the Lapta Türk Birliği-Kepezspor Friendship Match.” The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
