The Meteorology Department announced that between June 24 and 30, the region will be under the influence of a low-pressure system, bringing hot and relatively humid air.
Temperatures are expected to range from 38–41°C in inland areas and 31–34°C in coastal regions.
The department urged people to avoid spending long periods in open spaces, particularly during the midday hours, due to the high heat and humidity.
