Akdeniz Ayrelli Festival and Xth International Mediterranean Fired Clay Symposium Begin
Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel Municipality, in collaboration with the Akdeniz Village Muhtarlığı and the Akdeniz Hunting and Shooting Association, is organizing the 9th Akdeniz Ayrelli Festival, which will take place from April 10-15, 2025. The festival, combined with the Xth International Mediterranean Fired Clay Symposium, will feature a variety of events filled with nature, art, and culture.
Akdeniz Ayrelli Festival (April 12-13, 2025)
The festival will begin on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 with the opening of the “Arkaik Yansımalar II” group exhibition at the Terra Cota Open-Air Museum. It will continue with the opening of the Akdeniz Village Women’s Course, followed by various dance performances, music shows, and folk dances. The first day of the festival will end with the Cemal Duman Concert and the “Müzik Yolcuları” Group concert at 16:00.
On Sunday, April 13, the events will start at 08:00 with a nature walk. The festival will continue throughout the day with music and dance performances. At 15:30, Şermin Sekizler will perform, and at 16:15, Group Otantik will take the stage. The festival will end at 18:00 with the Fired Clay Firing Ceremony.
Xth International Mediterranean Fired Clay Symposium (April 10-15, 2025)
The symposium will take place at the Akdeniz Open-Air Museum / Aya İrini from April 10-15, 2025, and will be open daily from 10:00 to 17:00. More than 20 artists will exhibit their fired clay sculptures. The symposium, curated by Ayhatun Ateşin, will bring the region’s cultural heritage together with international art. The closing ceremony of the symposium will be held on Sunday, April 13, at 18:00 with the On-site Sculpture Firing Celebration.
