Larnaca Airport continues facilitating the repatriation of stranded citizens today, with 20 special flights scheduled for Israel and Jordan. Concurrently, the city’s marina remains a key point for maritime travel to and from Israel.
The special flights were scheduled to start from 6:00am (local time) onwards. The destinations include five flights to Tel Aviv, nine to Haifa, five to the Jordanian city of Aqaba, and one to Amman.
However, several flights to Haifa and Tel Aviv, which were to be operated by two Israeli carriers, have been canceled.
With Israeli airspace closed due to the ongoing regional situation, these flights are operating under special authorization from Israeli authorities to facilitate the return of their citizens.
Officials emphasize that the flight schedule remains fluid and is subject to change based on ongoing developments in the region.
Meanwhile, the Larnaca marina continues to facilitate vessels traveling to and from Israel. These boats are transporting both returning Israelis and other nationals traveling onward to their respective countries of residence.
