The Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu who is continuing with his contacts in Türkiye, visited Kocaeli University with his accompanying delegation.
During his visit to the Kocaeli University the Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu was welcomed by the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk.
Çavuşoğlu was informed about Umuttepe Campus, the main campus of Kocaeli University, which is among the leading campuses of both Türkiye and the world as Türkiye’s first specifically designed campus.
During the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of National Education and Kocaeli University.
With the protocol signed by Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu and Kocaeli University Rector Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk, Kocaeli University will allocate special quotas for TRNC students who want to study at Kocaeli University within the scope of the student admission quotas determined by the Council of Higher Education YÖK.
An agreement was also reached so that TRNC students can study at Kocaeli University’s Undergraduate Programs.
Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony, Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu pointed to the importance of this protocol for the country and students and said, “Our aim is to raise individuals who study, research and produce for the development of the TRNC”.
Prof. Dr. Nuh Zafer Cantürk for his part stated that the protocol will create important opportunities for TRNC nationals with A-Levels.brt
